Fantomen Lördagsgodis Candy Hockey Sticker

Fantomen Lördagsgodis Candy Hockey Sticker’s were produced in Sweden in 1991.

During the early 1990’s it was quite common for brand name foods to advertise their products on the reverse sides of collectible sports stickers. Such brand names included Marabou Chocolates, Milky Way, and even Fantomen Lördagsgodis candies.

The Fantomen Lördagsgodis Candy bag advertised on the back of the hockey stickers can be seen below. In Sweden the candy bag title ‘Lördagsgodis’ translates to ‘Saturday sweets’.

The inside cover page of Fantomen comic book number 6, published in 1991 advertised Fantomen Lördagsgodis candy.

On the reverse side of a 1991/1992 ‘Dušan Pašek Slovak’ Norwegian World Championship Sticker was a Fantomen Lördagsgodis candy advertisement.

Dušan Pašek Slovak was a professional ice hockey forward who played 48 games in the National Hockey League. He won a silver medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics and represented Czechoslovakia at three Canada Cups. He also won a gold medal at the 1985 World Ice Hockey Championships. Between 1982 and 2017 Pašek‘s image has been seen on dozens of different trading cards.

Other examples of Fantomen Lördagsgodis candy advertisements found on the back of hockey stickers of Kevin Dineen and Bobby Hull can be seen below.

Hockey cards were also given away with Fantomen comic books. Below we see 2 Upper Deck National Hockey League trading cards with Fantomen comic book number 4, 1995.
