The Fantomen Football Contest was held by Semic Press in Sweden in 1972. The contest required the reader to predict the goal results of 6 football games in the Allsvenskan football league. The front cover of edition number 8 containing the contest can be seen below, with the contest advertised on the front cover.
Found on the inside front cover of the comic book, we see a full page advertisement promoting the contest. The contest was held only in this edition, requiring the reader to predict the results of 6 football games, which were then to be sent to the publisher. The list of predicted results was required to be posted by the 15th of April, with the entrants address details also noted. The first prize offered was an all-inclusive trip to Stockholm, Sweden, which encompassed accommodation and two tickets to the football World Cup qualifying match between Sweden and Hungary, scheduled at the football stadium on the 10th of June.
The second prize offered consists of 100 t-shirts, each featuring a profile image of the Phantom on the front. Additionally, the contest details include an picture of a child wearing one of these t-shirts.

Sweden triumphed over Hungary in the football match held on the 25th of May 1972. The outcome of this contest was subsequently announced in Fantomen comic book edition number 16, published in 1972, through a half-page notification on page 35, alongside four other entrants who accurately predicted the results of the six football matches. The Fantomen t-shirts were posted to those who correctly guessed between four to five football match results. This notification can be seen below.
