The Fantasma sticker album was released by RGE (Rio Gráfica e Editora) in Brazil and Spain in 1979.
RGE, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was a subsidiary of ‘Grupo Globo’. It was founded by Roberto Marinho in 1952 and ceased operations in 1986. RGE released a multitude of comic books, magazines and collectible pop culture collectible sticker albums between that late 1970’s and early 1980’s throughout South America.
Brazil Version
The ‘Livro Ilustrado Fantasma’ album measures 11” x 8” and contains 34 pages with 256 stickers in total. The album gives us a complete pictorial story of the Phantom’s 400 year old dynasty.
The Fantasma collectible albums and pink sticker packets (4 stickers per pack found within, as can be seen below), were sold in news-agencies, newsstands and select liquor stores.

Spanish Version
‘Album de Cromos Fantasma’ is the Spanish version of the Brazilian album featured above, also released in 1979. Also measuring 11” x 8” and containing 34 pages with 256 stickers in total.
Editorial Reyauca was the publisher of this version of the Fantasma sticker album. Editorial Reyauca was a publishing house based in Venezuela and were famous for publishing World Cup and Football/Soccer sticker albums.
We see a slight change in wording on the cover when comparing the Brazilian and Spanish versions, however the RGE logo, color format and the image of the Phantom with Devil remains.
The Fantasma collectible albums and blue sticker packets (4 stickers per pack found within, as can be seen below), were sold in news-agencies, newsstands and select liquor stores.
