The Phantom Desktop Calendar was produced by Mallon Publishing Pty Limited in Australia in 1996. The calendar was exclusively sold throughout Australia in Angus & Robertson Bookworld book stores, a licensed item by King Features Syndicate.
The calendar is designed to sit atop a desk, with a page found for each day of the year for 1996, with a page flipped at the top as the date changes. The square shaped paper pages were sold in a color cardboard box designed and printed by Roy Fearn Displays. The top and back of the packaging can be seen below.

The packaging is designed to hold the desktop calendar when in use, with an instructional diagram shown in white, on how to correctly construct the box. The diagram is found on the inside lid flap of the box, as seen below.

Each page contains a different date from 1996, plus a Phantom comic strip panel in black and white. Brief commentary is included under the panel on most pages, plus the comic book edition number the panel is from, as published in the Phantom comic book series by Frew Publications in Australia. A sample of the desktop calendar page can be seen below.
