The Defenders of the Earth Briefcase was produced by Leopard in Italy in 1986. The bag is themed around the Defenders of the Earth cartoon series released in 1986 and is fully licensed by King Features Syndicate.

The Defenders of the Earth Briefcase is made of red and yellow Nylon material measuring 30cm x 40cm, with two images seen at the front of the bag. The first image features the main characters of the cartoon series; Lothar, Mandrake the Magician, Flash Gordon and the Phantom. The second image is the abbreviation ‘DOE’, standing for ‘Defenders of the Earth’. The briefcase contains a carry handle at the top, with removable shoulder straps able to be attached to the rear. The flip-open flap at the front is secured with two yellow plastic clips.

Copyright information is printed below the image at the front of the briefcase, reading ‘K.F.S/K.F.E/Opera Mundi’. Two labels are attached to the bag, a cardboard detachable tag, plus a sewn-in red cloth tag on the front noting the manufacturer of the bag ‘Leopard’.
