Comic Strip Character Sell Prints

The Comic Strip Character Sell Prints were produced by King Features Syndicate in USA in 1965. The Sell Prints were produced to promote and sell rights of comic book characters held under license by King Features Syndicate, to potential publishers and merchandise producers.

A set of 15 Comic Strip Character Sell Prints were produced in full color on heavy stock quality art paper measuring 8″ x 10″. The characters found in the set are Beetle, Brutus, Dagwood & Blondie, Felix, Flash Gordon, Hi, Lois, Mandrake the Magician, Olive Oyl, Popeye, Prince Valiant, Sarge, Trixie/Chip/Hi/Lois/Dot/Ditto and Wimpy.

The Phantom was also featured in the Comic Strip Character Sell Prints set, an image of the Phantom in a standing pose illustrated by Wilson McCoy, with the back of the print void of text or images. The front and back of the print can be seen below.

At the base of the Comic Strip Character Sell Prints, we find the title of the comic book character featured, followed by King Features Syndicate copyright information plus the year of production, 1965. Below we see the base as seen on the Phantom print.
