Bengal Times Newspaper Supplements

The Fantomet Bengal Times Newspaper Supplements were published by Semic in Norway from 1988 thru till 1991. Three supplements were released, taking the format of a traditional newspaper as sold in news agencies around the world. The first edition was provided when joining the Fantomet Klubben Fan Club, whilst the other 2 editions were distributed at no cost alongside the regular comic book issues.

The Fantomet Bengal Times Newspaper Supplements are named after a fictional publication conceived by Semic, and their layout and content adhere to the conventional format of a traditional newspaper, measuring 39cm x 27.5cm. These supplements encompass information pertaining to creators, current news, feature editorials, short comic strip stories and advertisements, all centered around the theme of the Phantom.

Bengal Times Newspaper Edition Number 2 was provided as a free giveaway inclusion with Fantomet comic book number 11 published in 1989, wrapped and stappled at the spine to the outside of the comic book. It contains 4 black and white pages. The front and back covers can be seen below.

Bengal Times Newspaper Edition Number 3 was provided as a free giveaway inclusion with Fantomet comic book number 20 published in 1991, wrapped and stappled at the spine to the outside of the comic book.
