The Phantom 80th Anniversary Stamp Pack was produced by Australia Post in Australia in 2015 and released to the public in February 2016, to commemorate the Phantom’s creation back in 1936. The Phantom 80th Anniversary Stamp Packs were sold exclusively in Australia Post Shops.
The Phantom 80th Anniversary Stamp Pack measures 19.5cm x 24.5cm and holds 2 sets of unused/uncut stamp sheets. The stamp sheets are both different in design, and are held in clear plastic sleeves, containing both novelty and usable legal stamps. The Phantom 80th Anniversary Stamp Pack was advertised in the Australia Post January-February 2016 Stamp Bulletin number 338. The cover and advertisement can be seen below.
Wesley First Day Cover’s of the Phantom 80th Anniversary Stamp’s have also been produced, bearing a ‘Playhouse Theater, Bathurst St, Hobart 7000’ ink stamp. 2 different designs can be found.
Released in 2016, we see a set containing the Phantom 80th Anniversary Medallion and Stamp in a presentation kit featured side-by-side. Limited to just 120 world wide, this set was presented to the public via an on-line lottery and not sold in retail outlets.
