The Phantom 75th Anniversary Watch was produced by The Bradford Exchange in Australia in 2011. Fully licensed by King Features Syndicate, the 75th Anniversary Watch was released to commemorate the Phantom comic strip first appearing in newspapers in 1936, with a worldwide limit of only 500 watches produced. It was exclusively marketed and sold in Australia and New Zealand.
The Bradford Exchange was established by J. Roderick MacArthur in 1973, a Chicago, USA based businessman and philanthropist. Initially focusing on providing limited-edition collector plates in the 1970’s, The Bradford Exchange quickly expanded it’s offering and not only provide limited-edition collectables, but a vast array of merchandise including dolls, figurines, home décor, fine Jewellery and even apparel. Today, The Bradford Exchange operates in 15 countries across Europe, New Zealand and Australia.
The Phantom 75th Anniversary Watch was presented in a deluxe timber case and came with a certificate of authenticity, with each timepiece individually numbered.

The Phantom 75th Anniversary Watch is made of solid stainless steel with a ‘golden’ finish containing 3 sub-dials for seconds, minutes and hours. We see the Phantom’s Skull and Good ring marks on the face of the watch, again in a ‘golden’ finish sitting on a purple background. The wording ‘The Ghost Who Walks’ are engraved on the side of the watch case. On the back of the watch case are engraved the words, ‘The Phantom – 75th Anniversary Deluxe Edition’, with an individual edition number (from 1 to 500).

The Phantom 75th Anniversary Watch also came with 7 gloss finished collector cards illustrated by various Phantom comic book artists, including Glenn Ford and Douglas Klauba. The cards feature various of the Phantoms enemies, with commentary on the back of the cards provided by Glenn Ford.
