Splish! Splash! – Os Enamorados dos Quadrinhos is described by the publisher as:

Hundreds of couples are present in this work, such as Popeye and Olivia, Vilma and Fred Flintstone, Fantasma and Diana and even Mônica and Cebola, from Turma da Mônica Jovem. In the work, the reader checks comments on the relationship of each of these couples and many others, in addition to a micro informative almanac about the creation of each of the series in which they appeared.

The book divides the couples in several ways – the classic eternal bride and groom, the married ones, the single ones, the alternative ones, the superheroes and the mangas. A highlight is “O Dia de Maria Cebola”, an event created by cartoonist Al Capp, in the Ferdinando Buscapé strip, when women hunt their husbands, and which even became a holiday in the United States. Another highlight is the universe of lovers created by Mauricio de Sousa.

The work also includes a colorful notebook with only comic book covers with scenes of couples from the most diverse genres. The couples remembered range from the pioneering Captain and Mama Crucrutz, from The Captain’s Nephews, from 1897, to the modern Naruto and Hinata, passing through Zé Macaco and Faustina, from O Tico-Tico, Flash Gordon and Dale Arden, Casper and Luiza, Zé do Boné and Flô and even Aline and her “boyfriends” Otto and Pedro.
