The Fantomen Novels are 2 series published by Semic in 1973 and 1978. The softcover books are Swedish translated versions of the USA published Avon Publications novels, published in 1972. Two separate series were released by Semic, with 4 editions published in each series.
On the outside rear cover of Fantomen edition number 17, Semic first notify their readers of the upcoming release of the series of books, due out on the 4th of July, 1973.
Fantomenböckerna – 1973
The Fantomenböckerna (translating to ‘Phantom Books’) series contains 4 books, containing 130 pages per book, measuring 11cm x 18cm. No comic strips are found within the black and white pages. The 4 Phantom story titles found in the series are:
- Number 1 – The Veiled Lady
- Number 2 – The Slave Market of Mucar
- Number 3 – The Mysterious Ambassador
- Number 4 – The Scorpia Menace

Fantomen – 1978
The Fantomen series contains 4 books, containing 146 pages per book, measuring 11cm x 17.5cm. No comic strips are found within the black and white pages. The 4 Phantom story titles found in the series are:

- Number 3 – The Vampires and The Witch
- Number 4 – The Curse of the Two-Headed Bull
