Comics – Serierna 100 År (which translates to Comics – The Series 100 Years) is a book published by Semic Press AB in Sweden in 1996. The book is by Swedish co-authors Sture Hegerfors (writer, journalist and illustrator) and Lasse Åberg (graphic designer, filmmaker and visual artist).
Comics – Serierna 100 År is a tribute publication to the history of comics and the development of the cartoon genre though the ages as created by a large variety of authors and illustrators. The book also analyzes comics’ relationship with associated cultural forms such as film, visual arts and literature, and shows examples of comic history’s greatest masterpieces and characters.

As noted above, Phantom creator Lee Falk and illustrator Wilson McCoy are featured in Comics – Serierna 100 År. The hardcover book is printed mainly in color, with black and white pages also found, made up of 188 pages measuring 22cm x 29.5cm, rich in text, photos and illustrations. The front and back cover can be seen below, with the character ‘The Yellow Kid’ featured, created by Richard F. Outcault in 1895.
