The publisher of Fantomen comic books, Egmont Story House, based in Sweden, has announced the forthcoming release of two new Phantom comic books in their Fantomens Historiska Äventyr series.

‘Fantomens Historiska Äventyr‘, translating to ‘The Phantom’s Historical Adventures‘, is a series which features stories of each generation of Phantom per edition, which commenced with the first Phantom in the first edition released on the 12th of December 2025, with an estimated four editions scheduled to be published on a yearly basis.

The description seen in online advertisements for the series reads:

Deep inside the skull cave lies the chronicle room, where the Phantom family has written down their lives – this is their history. In the book series The Phantom’s Historical Adventures, we meet a phantom in each new edition in chronological order, from the first Phantom up to the 20th.

Only the first edition has been released to date with edition numbers two and three listed for pre-order earlier this month (more information HERE). Edition numbers four and five are starting to appearing for pre-order, due for release later on this year.

Edition number four is due for release on the 9th of September 2026 containing an illustration by Hans Lindahl on the front cover (seen below left). Edition number five is due for release on the 2nd of December 2026 containing an illustration by Rolf Gohs on the front cover (seen below right).

Fantomens Historiska Äventyr is an excellent way for collectors and newcomers alike to chronologically chronicles the Phantom’s 500-year lineage, starting with the very first generation. By dedicating each volume to a specific ancestor, the series provides readers with an organized definitive history while offering new readers an accessible, story-driven entry point into the legend’s complex mythology.
