The Brazilian based Mythos Editora have announced the release of a new Phantom comic book titled ‘O Fantasma Omnibus – Travessia Oceanica & Outras Historias‘.
Translating to ‘The Phantom Omnibus – Ocean Crossing & Other Stories‘, the hardcover comic book will contain 472 pages and measure 17cm x 26cm, with black and white pages found within, printed with Portuguese text.
Currently, there’s limited information regarding the contents of the Omnibus on the pre-sale advertisement on Mythos Editora website; however, the stories contained within the book are written by Phantom creator Lee Falk and illustrated by Wilson McCoy.
The front cover of O Fantasma Omnibus – Travessia Oceanica & Outras Historias can be seen above, with an image of the Phantom featured as found in a comic strip story illustrated by Wilson McCoy. Pre-Orders for the comic book are currently open, with estimated delivery due in March 2026.
The advertisement seen on the Mythos Editora website describes the comic book as:
In 1936, when Lee Falk launched his newest creation in the world of comic strips, he couldn’t yet measure the impact it would have on the entire medium. When co-creator Ray Moore had to step away from production after returning from World War II, it fell to his assistant, Wilson McCoy, to keep the legacy alive, illustrating the character for almost 20 years. The Phantom, holder of a century-old title, would influence authors and fans alike, remaining in the popular imagination for decades. This very special Omnibus edition from Mythos Editora presents these stories definitively, doing justice to the hero’s immortal legacy, with the aim of being passed on to future generations of readers, ensuring the Ghost Who Walks endures for countless ages.
This newly announced edition signifies the thirteenth Omnibus-style comic book released by Mythos Editora following a similar format, and the fifth to feature comic strip stories illustrated by Wilson McCoy. The first four Omnibus comic books to feature the work of Wilson McCoy can be seen below.
