Phantom Stories By Marvel Comics Collected In New Mythos Editora Book

A new publication by the Brazilian-based Mythos Editora is currently available for purchase. It contains reprinted Phantom comic books which were previously published by Marvel Comics in the United States.

Titled ‘A Fase Marvel Comics De O Fantasma‘, which translates to ‘The Marvel Comics Phase of The Phantom‘, the paperback comic book contains 244 full color pages measuring 17cm x 26cm, with text translated from the original English release to Portuguese. It reprints two full series previously released by Marvel Comics in the 1990s, a collection of a total of seven comic books.

The front and back cover can be seen below, packaged in see-through plastic. It contains an illustration by Neil Hansen on the front cover, which was originally published in the Phantom 2040 series, on the cover of edition number 4.

The description for A Fase Marvel Comics De O Fantasma seen in the advertisement reads:

In the year 2040, in a world dominated by technology, Kit Walker Jr.’s life is forever changed when he discovers the legacy his father left behind. Continuing that legacy becomes an arduous and challenging task, as he is now the new Phantom! The first series found within A Fase Marvel Comics De O Fantasma is the three comic book mini-series titled ‘The Phantom – The Ghost Who Walks‘. The series was released in 1994-1995 in the US containing all original storyline and artwork specifically produced for Marvel Comics, written by Dave DeVries and Glenn Lumsden. These three originally released comic books can be seen below.

The second series featured in A Fase Marvel Comics De O Fantasma is the four comic book series themed after the Phantom 2040 cartoon series, originally released in the US in 1995. The all original storyline and artwork specifically produced for Marvel Comics for the series features various writers and artists contributing to the series including Peter Quinones, Steve Ditko, Bill Reinhold, Neil Hansen and Dan Panosian.
