A new Phantom comic book series has been announced for 2026 by the German publisher Comics & mehr in celebration of the Phantoms 90th Anniversary next year.

Based in Dortmund, Germany, Comics & mehr (which translates to Comics & More) have announced on their website that they’ll be publishing a comic book series featuring Phantom comic strips illustrated by German artist Heiner Bade, under their Edition Comics & mehr comic book titles.

The series will contain six thread-bound hardcover album style comic books contain approximately 72 full color pages published with German text. Two Phantom comic strip stories are expected to be featured in each edition, with additional reference material included supporting the story.

Limited edition variant covers will also be released, with edition number one expected to be released in Spring 2026 (around March to May), with the variant cover edition limited to only 77 editions worldwide. We’ve been provided with two samples of comic book covers, which can be seen below.

The front covers bear the title ‘Phantom‘ and do not display an edition number. The cover illustrated by Henrik Sahlström is seen on the left above, while the cover illustrated by Heiner Bade is located on the right above. The logo of Edition Comics & mehr appears in the lower left corner of the front covers, accompanied by the phrase ‘Die Heiner Bade Collection‘, which translates to ‘The Heiner Bade Collection‘.
