The yearly Christmas Special Phantom comic book has been released by Frew Publications in Australia.

The 2025 Christmas Special comic book by Frew Publications, edition number 2012, contains 98 full-color pages measuring 18cm x 25.5cm. Within, readers will find two published comic strip stories:

• Return To The Temple Of The Gods (the 193rd Sunday Story) – written by Tony DePaul and illustrated by Jeff Weigel
• The Avarice Has Landed (the 266th Daily Story) – written by Tony DePaul and illustrated Mike Manley

The front cover is a festive scene set inside the Skull Cave, featuring the Phantom wearing a red Santa hat while sitting on his Skull Throne. He’s smiling warmly as he reads an adventure from a Chronicle book to three young children—his twins, Kit and Heloise, and a young Bandar boy—who are seated on the floor alongside the Phantoms wolf, Devil. The background is rich with holiday detail, including a Christmas tree decorated with a mix of traditional baubles and miniature skulls, while a stack of colorful presents sit beneath the tree.

The back cover shifts focus to a quieter corner of the cave, where six red Christmas stockings hang against a grey stone wall, personalized for the entire family: Kit, Diana, Heloise, Kit Jr., Devil and Hero. A giant candy cane rests in a stone urn to the left. Highlighting the issue’s contents, the top of the page features bold yellow text announcing two new American stories: “Return to the Temple of the Gods” and “The Avarice Has Landed“.

This year’s Christmas Special Phantom comic published by Frew Publication marks the second consecutive year that its cover has been illustrated by Alex Trpcevski. The previous year’s Christmas Special Phantom comic, edition number 1986, is displayed below and similarly features a wrap-around cover with a Christmas theme.
