Comics Kingdom, the digital comics website owned by King Features Syndicate, has shared a selection of fun Halloween costume ideas on their Instagram account.
Their post reads:
Still don’t know what you’re gonna be for Halloween? We got you covered- here are some Halloween costume ideas that will guarantee to have people drawn to you.
Among the costume ideas presented are characters from their platform, which include Blondie, Edison Lee, Vasilisa, and Little Pig #3. Additionally, the Phantom is featured in the post. Below is the image shared by Comics Kingdom that showcases the Phantom.

Broken down based on the image above, to replicate this look, you’ll need:
- Purple Full Body Unitard: This serves as the foundational piece of the entire costume. A stretchy, full-coverage unitard delivers the seamless and imposing silhouette for which the Phantom is renowned.
- The Phantom Mask Helmet: No Phantom look is complete without the masked identity. This helmet, which covers the top half of the face and head, secures your mysterious aura.
- Costume Double Gun Holster: Although the Phantom favors the use of his fists, the iconic costume incorporates a belt featuring holsters. This element contributes to the overall authenticity of the ensemble and imparts an added sense of action-hero sophistication to the overall appearance.
- Tall Black Costume Boots: Finishing the costume at the bottom are high black boots. They add a rugged, adventurous edge and ground the all-purple body suit.
The only element absent from the proposed ensemble seen above, which can be easily sourced or produced at home, is the inclusion of striped undergarments worn externally over the purple unitard, as seen in Phantom comic book stories.
The items found in the image above aren’t being sold by a particular retailer, the post by Comics Kingdom serves as a fun suggestion on how easy it is to construct the Phantoms costume, without the need to go overboard in creating a custom comic perfect costume.
It is, however, an excellent opportunity in creatively thinking of simple ways in dressing up as the Phantom, for young and old, without taking the look too seriously, on Halloween night!!!
