The Austrian publisher ART:9 has released a series of Phantom comic books which feature classic stories of the Phantom originating from the 1930s.
The series is titled ‘Phantom – Die Klassiker‘, which translates to ‘Phantom – The Classics‘, currently containing two editions. The collection is a high-quality re-edition of the Phantom’s initial adventures from the 1930s, with all stories featured written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Ray Moore.

These two comic books mark the first time these classic stories are available in German, featuring a meticulously modernized translation from English and new lettering. Each issue is released as a standalone softcover volume containing black and white pages.
Issue #1 – The Singh Brotherhood
This edition contains the classic Phantom story ‘The Singh Brotherhood‘, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Ray Moore, originally published in newspapers from the 17th of February 1936 thru till the 7th of November 1936. Issue #2 – The Sky Band & War In The Jungle
This edition will contain two classic Phantom stories both written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Ray Moore. The first story published within is titled ‘The Sky Band‘, originally published in newspapers from the 9th of November 1936 thru till the 10th of April 1937. The second story is titled ‘War In The Jungle‘ (known also as ‘The Diamond Hunters‘), originally published in newspapers from the 12th of April 1937 thru till the 18th of September 1937.
