At present, the inaugural comic book to be released in Norway to showcase the Phantom is being auctioned by antique book dealer Antikvariat Bryggen located in Skjeberg, Norway.
The Phantom is released in Norway under the title ‘Fantomet’, with this comic book featuring the title ‘Fantomet Og Dyrenes Konge’ on its front cover, which translates to ‘The Phantom and the King of Beasts’. This publication includes the 15th Sunday classic Phantom story authored by Lee Falk and illustrated by Ray Moore titled ‘King of Beasts’.
The front and back covers of the comic book currently offered at auction can be seen below.

The comic book was published by Nordic Forlag A/S who were based in Stabekk, west of Oslo in Norway. The action advertisement notifies us that the comic was released in 1950. It contains 20 pages measuring 20.5cm x 29cm printed in Norwegian text. Cover art is completed by an unknown artist.
The comic book is a standalone one off edition and not part of a series by Nordic Forlag A/S. A sample of internal pages have been provided by Antikvariat Bryggen in the auction listing.

The comic book seems to be in excellent condition and will undoubtedly represent a valuable addition to any collection of Phantom comics. As this edition marks the first appearance of a dedicated Phantom comic book in Norway, it’s also a nice historical edition to own.
