Mikros Iros Publications, based in Greece have made available for pre-order a new Phantom comic book.

Titled ‘The Phantom #2 – The Water Creature‘, the comic book will contain 156 color pages measuring 17cm x 24cm, with the 5 stories published within printed in Greek text. The online pre-order advertisement notifies us that an array of writers and illustrators are featured in the comic book, including Lee Falk, Tony DePaul, Donne Avenell, Claes Reimerthi, George Olesen, Fred Fredericks, Graham Nolan, Terry Beatty and Jeff Weigel.

The pre-order advertisement describes The Phantom #2 – The Water Creature as:

The second volume includes five adventures, each from a different period of the hero, where a different group of creators took on the hero. Among the stories you will also find a story scripted by Lee Falk, The Creature of Water, which is one of the last written by the hero’s creator. Five generations of scriptwriters and designers together in a special collection for readers of The Walking Ghost, which is a document of the hero’s evolution over the years. They were first published in America in Sunday newspapers and are all unpublished in our country:

Furthermore, you will find a multi-page introduction – tribute by translator Gabriel Tombalidis to the “complex” publishing history of the hero in our country, as well as a series of known – unknown facts surrounding his creation. Finally, this issue is illustrated by “our” favorite comic book creator, Yannis Roumboulias, and as every hardcore Phantom fan will know, it is also a tribute to George Wilson’s cover for The Phantom #1 (1962) by Gold Key Publishing.
