Mad Cave Studios will be launching a new Phantom comic book series within its portfolio of publications, with the debut of the Phantom edition number zero release on Free Comic Book Day, 3rd of May 2025.
The comic book contains 32 full color pages (including the cover), with the comic strip story written by Ray Fawkes and illustrated by Russell Olson, lettering completed by Taylor Esposito. The dynamic cover is illustrated by Greg Smallwood, while Miguel A. Zapata is responsible for the book design. The editor of this publication is Chas! Pangburn, published by Mad Cave Studios, LLC. The front and back covers can be seen below.

The comic strip story is printed across 22 pages, with advertisements and notifications published on the remainder pages.
The opening scene of the story sees the Phantom in the Chronicle Chamber within the Skull Cave, housing archival adventures and stories as written by pervious Phantoms. He’s seen writing in one of the volumes following a recent adventure.

The storyline follows the Phantom as he pursues poachers in the Jungle, locating their hideout by following tracks left by their ‘military surplus jeep’ on the muddy Jungle floor.

Upon locating their hideout, he sets about in spooking the poachers, forcing them out of the hideout and into the Jungle.

Once exposed to the elements and dangers present in the Jungle, the poachers face not only the wrath of the Phantom, but the claws and teeth of a mighty Tiger.

The closing scenes see the Phantom completing his written entry into the Chronicle, tiered from writing into the late night, with his wife Diana Palmer making an appearance, keen on reading the Phantoms latest entry.

No set date has yet been released by Mad Cave Studios on the next installment of this adventure, which will likely continue in edition number one in a new Phantom comic book series.
