The Phantom Game, produced by Australian based Art of Play have released a gameplay trailer.

The game was initially announced in January 2023 with the game completely hand drawn and painted before a 2D side scrolling action beat-em-up digital game is produced. The game is available on several gaming platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam and XBOX.

Art of Play describe The Phantom Game as:

The Phantom is an arcade-style beat-em-up coming to PC and consoles. Play as The Phantom or his partner, Diana Palmer, in this 14-level adventure. The feared pirates of the Singh Brotherhood are battling for power and threatening The Phantom’s legacy, and it’s up to you to stop them. Use your hand-to-hand fighting skills and trusty weapons to dispatch this evil, and call in assistance from your animal friends Fraka the falcon and Devil the wolf. The Phantom features a brand-new story approved by King Features. Experience this canon addition through full-screen cut scenes and captivating in-game visuals, hand-illustrated and animated frame-by-frame by seasoned comic book artists and Art Of Play’s dedicated in-house 2D creative team.

The gameplay trailer recently published on YouTube presents Level 1 of The Phantom Game running for a duration of 6 minutes, which can be viewed below.

The game is scheduled for digital release on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox on the 12th of March 2025.

In a social media post by Art of Play, it’s also been noted that you’ll have an opportunity to play The Phantom Game online via a demo which will be released later on today, which will be featured on the Steam website HERE
