New Phantom Comic Book By Editions Dante

The French publisher Editions Dante has announced the availability for pre-order a new Phantom comic book titled ‘Fantome – L’Ombre Oui Marche…‘.

Fantome – L’Ombre Oui Marche…‘ which translates to ‘Phantom – Ghost Who Walks‘ will be a softcover comic book that’ll contain 224 pages. The front cover, displayed on the Editions Dante website, features an illustration by Jim Aparo, which was originally published on the cover of Phantom comic book number 38 by Charlton in the USA in 1970.

The pre-order advertisement informs us that the comic book will reprint comic strip stories which were originally published in the Gold Key/King Comics/Charlton series in the United States from 1962 to 1977. This edition will encompass a small selection of the Charlton comic books included in the series, specifically from issue number 30 to issue number 40.

As the comic book is set to be released in France, one can reasonably conclude that the comic strip stories have been translated from English to French, and that the internal pages will be published in full color, in accordance with the original USA comic books.

A release date has not been posted on the advertisement as yet.
