The Germany based comic book publisher, Zauberstern Comics is set to release a new Phantom comic book series.

Zauberstern Comics commenced the publication of a regular Phantom comic book series in Germany in 2022, releasing a total of 16 editions to date on a bi-monthly schedule. This series is produced to a high standard, encompassing approximately 100 pages per edition printed in full color, with dimensions exceeding those of traditional comic books at 21 cm x 29.5 cm.

The recently announced publication series is titled ‘Phantom Spezial,’ which translates to ‘Phantom Special.’ This series is due to be published in conjunction to the standard Phantom comic book series, with an edition number 1 prominently displayed on the front cover of this newly introduced comic book.

The cover artwork on this first edition is by Timo Wuerz, whose distinctive style is easily recognizable, particularly in his exquisite representations of animals. His work has been published on the covers of several Phantom comic book covers released in both Germany and Australia.

Two Phantom comic strip stories will be featured:

• Woduros Secret – written by Claes Reimerthi and illustrated by Graham Nolan
• The Lion’s Head Tamarine – written by Claes Reimerthi and illustrated by Graham Nolan

The inaugural edition of Phantom Spezial is scheduled for release on the 28th of January 2025 and is due to be published every 2 months.
