Fantomet Annual Christmas Album 2024

The Norwegian publisher Egmont Kids Media Nordic have announced the release of the 2024 Fantomet Annual Christmas Album.

The Annual Christmas Album will contain 150 color pages in Norwegian text with cover art completed by Sam Klein. It’ll contain 6 Phantom comic strip stories:

  • The Plant God of the Massau – A Sunday newspaper story released in 1958, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Wilson McCoy.
  • Dinosaur – A Daily newspaper story released in 1993, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry.
  • To Wrack and Ruin at Gravelines – A Daily newspaper story released in 2021, written by Tony DePaul and illustrated by Mike Manley.
  • The Chronicle of Old Man Mozz – A Daily newspaper story released in 2021, written by Tony DePaul and illustrated by Mike Manley.
  • Death in the Himalayas – A Daily newspaper story released in 2022, written by Tony DePaul and illustrated by Mike Manley.
  • Phantom’s End – A Daily newspaper story released in 2022, written by Tony DePaul and illustrated by Mike Manley, Bret Blevins and Scott Cohn.

The front cover of the album contains the titled ‘Fantomets Skjebne‘, which translates to ‘Fate of the Phantom‘, a title possibly given due to the 4 Daily newspaper stories found within written by Tony DePaul, with the storyline following on from each other, published in newspapers from May 2021 thru till October 2022.

It also looks like the cover art by Sam Klein was inspired by this 4 part Phantom comic strip story. The front cover of the Fantomet Annual Christmas Album can be seen below.

Information about the Fantomet Annual Christmas Album has appeared on social feeds, not available for sale online as yet. It’s due for release on the 8th of November 2024.
