ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß, based in Germany, have produced several new Phantom comic books.

The comic books will contain Phantom classic stories written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry, under license by King Features Syndicate. The 4 daily comic strip stories featured are the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Phantom strips illustrated by Sy Barry, appearing in US newspapers from 1963 thru till 1965. ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß will be publishing the stories in sequence as they appeared in US newspapers.

These comic strip stories are:

• Daily Newspaper Story 87: The Drummer of Timpenni
• Daily Newspaper Story 88: The Reef
• Daily Newspaper Story 89: The Adventures of Lucy Cary
• Daily Newspaper Story 90: The Bad Ones

Hardcover Comic Book

Available in German text, the hardcover album style comic book will contain 136 color and black and white pages measuring 29.5cm x 21cm. On the footer of the comic book, we find both the numbers and the titles of the daily newspaper stories published within, which will contain all 4 Phantom stories noted above. This edition is due for release in February 2024 (found HERE).

2-Pack Comic Book Set

Only available in German text, the 2 comic strip stories are available in a traditional comic book softcover format containing an overall total of 56 pages (approximately 28 pages each) measuring 26.5cm x 18cm. These editions come in a mix of color and black and white pages. On the footer of each of the comic books, we find both the number and the title of the daily newspaper story published within, Phantom daily newspaper stories numbers 87 and 88. This 2-pack comic book set is due for release in October 2024 (found HERE).

2-Pack Comic Book Set

Only available in German text, the 2 comic strip stories are available in a traditional comic book softcover format containing an overall total of 80 pages (44 & 36 pages) measuring 26.5cm x 18cm. These editions come in a mix of color and black and white pages. On the footer of each of the comic books, we find both the number and the title of the daily newspaper story published within, Phantom daily newspaper stories numbers 89 and 90. This 2-pack comic book set is due for release in December 2024 (found HERE).

Sammlerherzchen 3 – Strip 23

Sammlerherzchen 3 – Strip 23 (which translates to Collector’s Heart 3 – Strip 23) is a magazine published by ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß, which will feature a Phantom comic strip story illustrated by Sy Barry, amongst other comic strips, including Garth and Flash Gordon. The magazine will contain 44 color pages measuring 29.5cm x 21cm. This magazine is due for release in March 2025 (found HERE).
