The Hungarian based publisher Bubi Bolt have announced the release of a new Phantom comic book.
Titled ‘Fantom: A Napilapcsík Gyűjtemény’, which translates to ‘Phantom: The Daily Strip Collection‘, the album style comic book will contain Phantom comic strip stories written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry, originally published in newspapers from 1961 thru to 1963.
Bubi Bolt announced the release of the comic book on their Facebook Page, notifying that the comic book will contain 256 black and white pages measuring approximately 21cm x 29.7cm in landscape format, printed in Hungarian text. The post also notifies us that the first 5 Daily newspaper stories to be illustrated by Sy Barry will be published in the book, numbers 82 thru to 86.
The titles of the Phantom stories are:
- The Slave Market of Mucar
- The Epidemic
- The Wharf Rats
- The Mysterious Ambassador
- The Mystery of the Island of Dogs

Fantom: A Napilapcsík Gyűjtemény is due to go on pre-order sale on the Bubi Bolt website from the 5th of August 2024. It’s not currently listed on their website (website found HERE).
