An upcoming auction listing has been posted on the US based Heritage Auctions website featuring original comic cover art by Joel Naprstek.
The cover art is found in the graphic novel series by Moonstone Books published from 2002 thru till 2010. The graphic novel featuring the art for sale was published in June 2002 and contains the Phantom story ‘The Singh Web‘, written by Ben Raab and illustrated by Fernando Blanco. The cover art is completed by Joel Naprstek, who illustrated a total of 5 out of the 11 graphic novels for Moonstone Books. The covers illustrated by Joel Naprstek can all be seen below.





The original cover artwork offered is painted in gouache on Bristol board measuring 11.75″ x 17″. The artwork is attached to an illustration board which measures 15″ x 20.75″. The image of the original cover artwork as posted by Heritage Auctions can be seen below.

The description provided by Heritage Auctions is:
The Phantom leaves his mark on a pirate as Devil keeps another at bay. Set in front of the iconic “Skull Cave”, this is an image of the Ghost-Who-Walks that most fans will want. Created in gouache on Bristol board with an image area of 11.75″ x 17″. This Bristol has been affixed to a 15″ x 20.75″ illustration board. Signed and dated in the lower right of the image area.
