New Phantom Comic Books By ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß

ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß, based in Germany, have produced several new Phantom comic books.

The comic books will contain Phantom classic stories written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry, under license by King Features Syndicate. The 2 daily comic strip stories featured are the 4th and 5th Phantom strips to be illustrated by Sy Barry, appearing in US newspapers in 1962 and 1963. ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß will be publishing the stories in sequence as they appeared in US newspapers.

Daily Newspaper Story 85: The Mysterious Ambassador
Daily Newspaper Story 86: The Mystery of the Island of Dogs

Hardcover Comic Book

Available in both German and English text, the hardcover album style comic book will contain 105 color and black and white pages measuring 26.5cm x 18cm. On the footer of the comic book, we find both the numbers and the titles of the daily newspaper stories. This edition in 2 languages is due for release in May 2024.

2-Pack Comic Book Set

Only available in German text, the 2 comic strip stories are available in a traditional comic book softcover format containing an overall total of 104 pages (approximately 52 pages each) measuring 26.5cm x 18cm. These editions come in a mix of color and black and white pages. On the footer of each of the comic books, we find both the number and the title of the daily newspaper story published within. This 2-pack comic book set is due for release in May 2024.

Sammlerherzchen 2 – Strip 22

Sammlerherzchen 2 – Strip 22 (which translates to Collector’s Hearts 2 – Strip 22) is a magazine published by ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß, which will feature Phantom comic strips by Sy Barry on it’s cover. The magazine will contain 40 color pages measuring 29.5cm x 21cm. No information is available as yet on it’s contents, however it’s likely to feature a variety of articles and comic strips on the Phantom. This magazine is due for release in May 2024.
