ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß, a publishing house based in Germany have provided us with a sneak peak teaser of an upcoming Phantom comic book on their social feed.

The comic book will contain 2 Phantom classic stories written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry. The 2 daily comic strip stories are the 4th and 5th Phantom strips to be illustrated by Sy Barry, appearing in US newspapers in 1962 and 1963.

These comic strip stories are:

• Daily Newspaper Story 85: The Mysterious Ambassador
• Daily Newspaper Story 86: The Mystery of the Island of Dogs

Available in German text, this second edition comic book will contain 100 black and white pages. On the footer of the comic book, we find both the numbers and the titles of the daily newspaper stories.

Similar to the first edition published by ECR-Verlag Werner Reuß, the comic book will be released with 2 variant covers, with one version being accompanied by a print. It’s unclear at this stage if the variant version will be sold exclusively by the publisher, as seen with the first edition.

At time of writing, this second edition hasn’t been listed for sale as yet, however based on the sneak peak teaser on their social feed, this edition is estimated to be released in June/July, 2024.
