The Phantom Christmas Album, published by Story House Egmont in Sweden, is starting to appearing online for pre-order.

Simply titled ‘Fantomen 2023‘ the Christmas Album is a traditional publication in Sweden, an unbroken series published on a yearly basis since 1944, with this comic book making it number 80 in the series.

This years edition will contain 96 full color pages measuring 21.5cm x 28cm in Swedish text. The 2 Phantom comic strip stories published within, as noted by the publisher on the front cover are:

1. Dödlig Maskerad which translates to The Deadly Masquerade, written by David Bishop and illustrated by Kari Leppänen, first published in Fantomen comic book number 7 in 2007.
2. Den Grymma Hämnden which translates to The Cruel Revenge, written by Claes Reimerthi and illustrated by Joan Boix, first published in Fantomen comic book number 22 in 2003.

The Christmas Album will also contain a reprint of the Fantomen 1973 Christmas Album, also noted on the front cover. Within this edition was published the Phantom comic strip story Jättegorillan, which translates to Old Baldy, a classic Sunday newspaper story from 1963, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Sy Barry. It contains 36 color pages.
