Opening next month at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia is an art exhibition titled Phantom: Off the Drawing Board.

Appearing on the What’s On Bundaberg are details of an art exhibition featuring the Phantom, running from the 18th of November 2023 thru till the 4th of February 2024. Working with Frew Publication (the publisher of Phantom comics in Australia), the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery will exhibit original Phantom art, comics and memorabilia.

Step into the extraordinary world of Lee Falk’s iconic creation ‘The Phantom’ in a captivating and immersive exhibition like no other!

Curated by Gallery Director, Rebecca McDuff, with the support of Australian Frew Publications, this exhibition will take visitors on a thrilling journey through the mysterious and action-packed universe of The Phantom, showcasing the Australian illustrators who have left their mark on the character, in particular, Bundaberg based illustrator, Shane Foley.

Drawing on the extensive collections of Phantom Illustrator, Shane Foley, and Australian Frew Publications, as well as private collections, this exhibition features over 100 unique artworks, vintage comic covers, and rare memorabilia telling the story of The Phantom in Australia.

The art exhibition will be broken down into 4 separate displays:

• Display 1 in Gallery One – Phantom: Off the Drawing Board
• Display 2 in Gallery Two – The Phantom Response
• Display 3 in The Vault – The Phantom Serial (1943)
• Display 4 in ImaginArts – Kid Phantom

To open the art exhibition, 2 launch events will be held:

• Exhibition Opening Event – Friday the 17th of November at 5:30pm
• Phantom Phenomenon – Saturday the 18th of November from 10:00am thru till 2:00pm
